Today, video biographies are becoming extremely popular. Stories and relatives are becoming forgotten. We would like to have the opportunity to share our lives with our children and theirs. What could be better than taking visual memories combined with these tales to create a family heirloom for future generations. There are a number of ways this can be done.
Montages:
Photos or slides: shown on screen at 6-second intervals and set to music with movement. This includes an intro, title page and ending. Captions can be added for a minimal fee.
For example: 10 min collage – 100 pictures
Home movies:
8mm film and some other formats can be professionally edited to remove damaged or unwanted parts. Movement can be slowed down to linger over moments that otherwise could go by too quickly.
Narrated Montage
Narrating stories, names and dates related to your family images can create a wonderful family history. This is especially nice for those who are camera shy.
Personal & Family History Videos:
A Feature length movie combining the best of your photos, slides, film and video that your family has collected over the years. These include blending:

Pricing:
Many things will determine the final price: interview length, number of photos, slides, home movies and other memorabilia and captions. All these factors will determine the initial estimate, given after the first consultation. There will be one free meeting session for changes after the first draft; additional consult charges apply for further meetings and changes.

Organization:
Usually pictures and events are shown in a time sequence. Please have photos numbered and in the order of their occurrence. Be careful not to put an indentation in the photo. If a caption is needed, use a sticky note and attach to the back. If a story comes to mind while organizing memorabilia, jot it down right away to make sure we cover it in the interview.
Some photos that are damaged may be corrected in Photoshop, but if severe, they should be taken to a professional restorer or shown as is.
All pictures need to be removed from photo albums and frames. I can shoot them in frames if necessary, but there may be a glare. If pictures are scanned, their size should be 1800 x 1350 x 72 dpi.

Client to provide music on his or her own CD’s, or music can be provided via I tunes for $1.50 per song. Most selections are 3 to 4 minutes long.
